Mass Transit, Shuttles and Parking
Mass Transit: Since 1991, Commuter Services has partnered with the Utah Transit Authority (UTA) (http://www.utabus.com) through the UTA Education Pass Program to provide students, faculty and staff the ability to commute to campus, at no charge, on UTA buses and Trax light rail trains. The UTA Ed Pass Program is a major success! Approximately 13,000 students, faculty and staff, (one-third of the campus community) commute to campus on UTA each day. This has significantly reduced single occupancy vehicles, traffic congestion and pollution.
Campus Shuttle System: Commuter Services operates an extensive campus shuttle system consisting of 10 bus routes and 25 buses. The goal of the shuttle system is to encourage people not to drive around campus, to provide convenient connections to UTA and provide convenient bus service from remote parking lots. For detailed information on routes and schedules, please go to: http://www.parking.utah.edu/shuttles/index.html.
Parking: Please visit http://www.parking.utah.edu for information regarding visitor parking, special event parking, parking regulations, parking permits and parking maps.
